Marlette Lake Water System Improvement Projects 2024 through Spring 2027

The Marlette Lake Water System, encompassing Marlette Lake, Hobart Reservoir, and several catchments on the east slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains above Washoe Valley, will be undergoing several improvement projects over the next three years. This system provides raw water to Carson City and Storey County, and these enhancements will address issues with the current system as well as expand capacity.

SPWD Projects 23-M03-09 & 23-M46: Additional East Slope Catchments and Transmission - MLWS

These two projects will upgrade the Marlette Lake Water System by installing additional catchments on the east slope.
